Lisa Vidal (born June 13, 1965) is an American actress, starring as Kara Lynch in the hit series Being Mary Jane.

Lisa Vidal was born June 13, 1962 in Queens, New York to Manny and Josie Vidal. One of four children, her parents are from Puerto Rico. Vidal is a graduate of the well-known Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, a performing arts high school, in New York City. Vidal started her career young and was earning roles in theater productions as young as 14 years old.
Following her high school graduation, Vidal appeared in several theater productions across the United States and worked alongside Julia Roberts and Raul Julia. Her first film role came in 1985 when then 20-year old Vidal appeared in Delivery Boys alongside Mario Van Peebles. She is best known for her television roles, appearing in well-known shows such as The Cosby Show, High Incident, Third Watch, The Division, ER, The Event, and now for her main role in Being Mary Jane starring opposite Gabrielle Union. Aside from acting, Vidal once owned a children's clothing store in downtown Los Angeles.
Unlike her divorced character on Being Mary Jane, Vidal has been married to real estate agent Jay Cohen since 1990. They have three children and reside in Los Angeles, California.
